Founded in 1986, the Genetics Center has always maintained a commitment to patient care and excellence in laboratory testing. With the unwavering support of our patients and referring physicians, Genetics Center has matured into a premier laboratory and clinical services provider. Genetics Center offers all manner of prenatal diagnosis, cytogenetic laboratory services, molecular genetics, cancer genetics, clinical genetics, identity testing, and paternity testing services.
Genetics Center is certified by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and licensed by the State of California Department of Health Services as a clinical laboratory (CLIA compliant). We are also approved by the California State Genetic Disease Branch as a comprehensive prenatal diagnosis center (PDC) and contracted for AFP follow-up services which are reimbursed by the State of California. Compliance with all of these requirements ensures superb quality.
Genetics Center is focused on providing services relating to human genetics. Our team is comprised of several physicians with board certifications in clinical genetics and cytogenetics, several scientists (with Ph.D.), many genetic counselors (with M.S.), laboratory technologists (with CISP(CG)), genetic assistants, clinical coordinators, and nurses. In our organization, the minimum requirement for any of our office or laboratory personnel is at least a B.S./B.A. degree.
